New York Mysteries is a murder investigation game that goes from routine to dark as gameplay progresses. This adventure-filled game is replete with mini-games and puzzles, and shall immerse you in the proceedings almost within no time.

Intriguing Plot

New York Mysteries is a murder mystery game straight out of the ‘50s. Laura James, the protagonist, plays the detective who excels at solving paranormal mysteries. This is why she has been called on for investigating a mysterious murder, which has supposedly happened in a lonely mansion’s halls. A few hours after the dead husband is buried by her widow, he emerges from his death bed to axe his wife. Is this what truly happened, or is everything an illusion? There are quite a few things here that James must find out.

Environments and Puzzles

The game happens across multiple messy environments littered with objects that help solve the murder mystery. At times, a vital object would unlock access to one more vital object – for instance, a key that unlocks a box – and, at times, you must maneuver the environment to clear the way to the next location. Every now and then you would also have to solve puzzles. Completing these puzzles would typically get you a vital piece of information or item. Needless to say, the game is pretty in its presentation, and the mansion where you would invariably spend the maximum time during the game is affluent, albeit carrying an air of sadness and mystery.
